No panic. No shame.
Queer health has been spoken about too clinically, too fearfully, too quietly — and sometimes not at all. We want to do something different: calm information, simple routines, careful products, for bodies that live full lives.
Pride Season
PrEP, HIV medication, supplements, vitamin D, nightlife, recovery, winter routines, and the small habits that help us care for ourselves — without shame, panic, or miracle claims.
Pride is celebration. Protest. Memory. Nightlife. Chosen family. A crowded street in summer light. A quiet tram ride home. A week that gives energy, and sometimes takes it too.
At Nordic Apothecary, Pride is not a seasonal decoration. Some of us are queer. Some of us are allies. All of us believe that health information should be careful, generous, and useful in real life.
This Pride season, we are publishing a queer health series rooted in Nordic life: PrEP, HIV treatment, supplement safety, vitamin D, recovery after long weekends, and the everyday routines that help us stay steady.
Not because queer bodies are all the same. They are not. But because queer lives often carry specific questions — and those questions deserve better care.
Approach
Queer health has been spoken about too clinically, too fearfully, too quietly — and sometimes not at all. We want to do something different: calm information, simple routines, careful products, for bodies that live full lives.
The Nordics are open and progressive — and still private about difficult things. Pride is not only about being visible. It is also about being cared for properly.
We are based in Oslo. The questions on this page travel further than Norway. A responsible wellness space should not only be a place where you buy things — sometimes it should be a place where you can ask the question quietly.
Pride is not a seasonal decoration — it is a responsibility to take better care of each other.

Carefully chosen basics
We do not believe queer health needs a special supplement identity. We believe in careful basics, chosen for real reasons.
A good supplement routine should make life feel simpler, not more complicated. That is why we prefer clear products, understandable ingredients, and honest guidance — especially if you use PrEP, HIV medication, antacids, prescription medicine, or several supplements at the same time.
In a climate where light changes everything, vitamin D is one of the quiet foundations of everyday health.
Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, normal muscle function, and the normal function of the immune system.
It is not a Pride trend. It is not a PrEP treatment. It is not magic. It is simply one of the nutrients worth understanding properly when you live in the North.
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, electrolyte balance, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Some people use magnesium as part of an evening routine, training routine, or general supplement routine. But magnesium is also a mineral, and minerals may need timing consideration with certain medicines.
If you use HIV medication, PrEP, antacids, or prescription medicine, ask before combining.
After heat, dancing, sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, alcohol, long days, late nights, or simply forgetting water for too long, hydration deserves attention.
Electrolytes are not a detox. They do not undo poor sleep. They do not make substances or heavy alcohol use harmless. They are just practical hydration support when relevant.
Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal nervous-system function, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
B12 may be especially relevant to consider if your diet contains little or no animal products, or if a healthcare professional has advised you to look at your intake.
Calcium contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function.
But calcium is not something everyone needs to add automatically. Food intake, dose, medication timing, and individual context matter.
More is not always better. Clearer is better.
Articles will appear here once the Pride Health Series blog is published.
It is the planning before. The outfit on the chair. The friend who checks in. The one who comes out for the first time, and the one who has been out for decades. The volunteer who stands for hours. The person who celebrates loudly. The person who watches from a distance. The ones dancing. The ones grieving. The ones remembering. The ones still becoming.
For us, Pride season is not separate from health. It is part of health.
Because care is not only medicine, and it is not only products. It is information. It is access. It is being spoken to with respect. It is knowing that you can ask about PrEP, HIV medication, vitamin D, recovery, supplements, timing, fatigue, or winter routines without being judged.
Oslo can be generous and reserved at the same time. This page is our way of opening the door a little wider.
You do not need to make it a big conversation. You can ask simply. We will answer carefully.
Queer health is not one thing.
It is PrEP and HIV medication. It is testing and trust. It is winter light and vitamin D. It is dancing too late, eating too little, taking care of your friends, forgetting your own routine, and trying again the next morning.
It is the body as joy. The body as memory. The body as project. The body as home.
At Nordic Apothecary, we believe supplements should be simple, careful, and honest. No miracle claims. No shame. No rainbow-washed wellness language. Just useful knowledge for bodies that live full lives.
This page is for general information only and does not replace medical advice. Supplements do not prevent or treat HIV, do not replace PrEP or HIV medication, and do not replace medical follow-up, STI testing, food, sleep, or prescribed treatment.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep supplements out of reach of children. If you use PrEP, HIV medication, prescription medicine, antacids, or several supplements at the same time, ask a doctor or pharmacist before starting something new.
