Return & Refund Policy
Effective date: 17 August 2025
Thank you for shopping with Nordic Apothecary. We want you to be confident in your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can return items and receive refunds. It applies to purchases made directly on our website.
Quick summary
30-day returns for unopened products worldwide.
EEA customers (incl. Norway): you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal (angrerett) for distance sales.
Opened/used supplements can’t be returned for health & hygiene reasons, unless defective or we sent the wrong item.
If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll replace it or refund you.
1) Eligibility for Returns (Change-of-Mind)

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery for unopened, unused, and sealed products in original packaging.

Return requests must be initiated through our Returns Portal or by emailing [support@nordicapothecary.com]with your order number and reason for return.

Once approved, we’ll issue return instructions and an RMA number. Items sent back without an RMA may be refused.
Condition requirements

Packaging, safety seals, labels, and any included accessories must be intact.

For bundles/sets, all items in the bundle must be returned together.
2) Right of Withdrawal for EEA Customers (Angrerett)
If you are in the EU/EEA (including Norway) and purchased as a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you (or a person you designate) receive the goods.

You must notify us of your decision to withdraw within 14 days (email is sufficient).

You then have 14 more days to return the goods.

You are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind withdrawals, unless we state otherwise.

This statutory right exists alongside our 30-day policy and is not reduced by it.
Exceptions under health & hygiene rules
Sealed goods not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons (e.g., dietary supplements) cannot be returned if unsealed after delivery. If a safety seal is broken or packaging is opened, the right of withdrawal does not apply to that item.
3) Non-Returnable Items
For health & safety, the following cannot be returned unless defective or the wrong item was delivered:

Opened or unsealed supplements, partially used products, or products with broken safety seals

Items not purchased on our website (contact the original retailer)

Gift cards
4) Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong item:

Include photos of the outer box, shipping label, and product(s).

We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
5) Return Shipping & Customs

For change-of-mind returns, you cover return shipping and any applicable customs, duties, or brokerage fees.

For defective/incorrect items, we cover reasonable return shipping or provide a prepaid label (where available).

We recommend trackable shipping; we’re not responsible for returns lost in transit without proof of delivery.

6) Refunds—Method & Timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the return is received and inspected.

Please allow 5–10 business days after we process the return for your bank or card issuer to post the refund.

Original shipping charges (and import duties/taxes paid at delivery) are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.

If a bundle/set is partially returned (where allowed), the refund will be prorated and any bundle discounts may be adjusted.
7) Exchanges
We currently offer exchanges only for the same item if it arrived damaged/defective or the wrong item was sent. Otherwise, please return eligible items for a refund and place a new order.
8) Subscriptions
You can cancel a subscription any time before the next billing date in your account or by contacting support. Once an order has been billed and a shipment created, it follows the standard return rules above.
9) Gifts & Promotional Items

If your order included a free gift based on purchase value and your return reduces the order below the threshold, the gift must also be returned unused/sealed, or the value may be deducted from your refund.

Items bought with promo codes or discounts are refundable at the amount paid.
10) Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund after our confirmation:

11) Your Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws, including the Norwegian Angrerettloven and Forbrukerkjøpsloven, or equivalent laws in your country of residence.
